Some of the things people have said about us...

"This morning the church was still buzzing with excitement from the event and there were so many good comments about the high standard of the choir and the choice of programme."

Brian Steer, St John the Evangelist, Meads, Eastbourne

"The choir was excellent, especially the soloists, as were the pianist and oboist, and the programme was delightful."

Councillor Carol Theobald, Deputy Mayor of Brighton

"[The choir's] performance of Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle was the highlight of the CMP Festival..."

 Philipa Sankey, CMP Festival Director

"The Allegri, of course, blew everyone away, but the most priceless comment of all was that the men sounded like a lot of old monks in a real monastery!"

Brian Steer, St John the Evangelist, Meads, Eastbourne

Brighton is a vibrant, colourful and creative city. It is cosmopolitan, diverse, unique, fun, lively and free-spirited.

A city like no other, it is home to a choir like no other. We hope you'll come and listen for yourself...

Brighton's best kept secret...

Formed in 1995 the Brighton Chamber Choir, which has Sir Simon Rattle as it's President, is a lively, friendly and welcoming choir singing anything from Gregorian Plainsong to music from the Broadway Musicals. We have been called...

"Brighton's best kept secret"

 Muriel Hart

but as the ever increasing audience numbers show, the 'secret' is now out !!

A word from the Chairman

"Firstly, I must say, one of the things I love about BCC is it is a very friendly choir. As a chamber choir, our maximum number is 40, made up of people from all walks of life, and all age groups too, which makes it an exciting place to be.

Thanks to the wonderful guidance and energy of our conductor, Jane Money, we have expanded our musical horizons, year on year, from Early Music all the way through to West Side Story! We are also very fortunate to have a fantastic deputy musical director and accompanist in Tim Nail, who is a talented composer as well.

We hope to see you at a concert soon..."
